Welcome to
Dance to Thrive!
Dance to Thrive promotes the physical, cognitive, and emotional health of 55+ adults through partnership dance programs and dance education. We work with senior communities, dance teachers, and senior education outlets to build awareness of the benefits of partnership dance.

Why Partnership Dance?
Dancing with a partner is a joyful activity that offers a unique combination of physical, cognitive, and emotional benefits that are particularly valuable to adults over 55. Partnership dance is simply two people connecting and collaborating to move together to music. Partners can be spouses, friends, or family members - anyone who wants to pair up and dance! Examples of popular styles of partnership dance are Waltz, Swing, Rumba, and Tango.
Improve Physical Health
Partnership dance increases balance, coordination, strength, mobility, and energy levels. It also strengthens bones and boosts cardiovascular health.

Improve Cognitive Health
Through being physically active while learning, partnership dance integrates several brain functions, decreases the risk of developing dementia, improves cognitive activity, and generates new neural pathways.
Improve Emotional Health
Meeting new people, learning a new activity with a partner, and participating in social events decreases feelings of sadness and isolation while increasing confidence and wellbeing.
